Kata'ib Hezb'Allah of Iraq did thousands of such attacks using missiles. They were quite accurate and devastating, here is one such attack. Each attack on these bases killed dozens. In this particular one about 42 US soldiers died (most of whom were contractors).
This particular video also showcases multiple footage of the same attack from various locations outside the base.

10's of thousands of US occupation scum along with their allies (including contractors) were killed in these types of attacks showcased in the video. The brain damages from IEDs and EFPs alone caused a 300,000 folks to get brain damages. That is worse than a quick death, since one would die a slow and excruciating death.
Although in the video rocket attacks were shown on depots meant to cause maximum deaths within the base I will talk about IEDs and EFPs as well.
The IEDs (or EFPs used by Shia groups) are meant to penetrate the windshield and the shrapnel and 'small balls' coming out the IED are supposed to kill everyone inside. So even if the vehicle isn't much damaged the folks inside are indeed dead or severely injured. Let's talk about the injuries alone. The PENTAGON said that from the Iraq war at least 300,000 combatants from the occupation coalition got CRITICAL BRAIN DAMAGES!!! That's even worse than death (because they live excruciatingly torturous lives right up to their 'natural death'). These IEDs killed ten's of thousands (mostly contractors) and the US and their allies are hiding the casualties.
If the insurgents plant, say, 10 IEDs...8 are successful.
Iraqi insurgents were masters at IEDs. Especially the Shia groups.
This was has caused a 23 suicides per day in US veterans.
Keep in mind the US and allies were totally kicked out of the war in 2011. Only a force of 4000 is holed up in bases in the autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq and in 2 small bases in the al-Anbar governerate. They came as an excuse in 2014 after the rise of CIA-MOSSAD supported Daesh. They will leave soon...
